The fact that each is around 18-20 minutes long doesn't help.

I'm finding it hard to get back in to Blue Dragon even now, with only a couple of days away from it. They're obviously not going to change around entire engines, but if certain scenes, bits of dialog, puzzles, etc resonated especially well or poorly, they can make note of it for future releases - it's all a bit more fluid that way.Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2684824442963864426.post-87908906816046477062012-04-30T11:53:47.509-07:002012-04-30T11:53:47.509-07:00Once again, thank you Chalgyr, and totally agreed ...Once again, thank you Chalgyr, and totally agreed on time being better spent on video games than TV. :)

Personally, I'm a fan of episodic gaming. The way I see it, is that episodic games give you something to continually look forward to. Back in 2009, when Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was being rolled out, I had a wonderful time completing each episode while eagerly awaiting the next. I see The Walking Dead the same way. The first episode ended on a cliffhanger, and I've read around the net that we have a month to wait to see what happens... :(

I suppose it does end up being as expensive as a regular retail title. I think the experience you get is enhanced by having to wait to see what happens instead of being able to plow through it in a matter of days.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02190301198560055911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2684824442963864426.post-81188163745062248282012-04-30T06:51:07.494-07:002012-04-30T06:51:07.494-07:00Good review - I liked that you mentioned right off...Good review - I liked that you mentioned right off of the bat you were not someone who followed the series. I've never read the comic, and I've only seen a few episodes on TV. I liked what I saw, I just don't really watch a lot of TV - usually that's time better spent playing video games.

This one looks pretty interesting to me though, and I have to say that your review has given me even more reason to do so, though I'll probably hold off for a bit. How do you feel about the episodic format? I have never really minded it in downloaded games, but I know it really irks some people to have to wait to keep playing a game, or that in the end it comes out being as expensive if not more so than if it had just been a single release.Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2684824442963864426.post-59200542210876628482012-04-27T02:12:49.522-07:002012-04-27T02:12:49.522-07:00I'm the same way with demos, I rarely download...I'm the same way with demos, I rarely download them.
